Médis and its aerodrome

Médis is located on a privileged axis a few kilometers from the beaches. The city's slogan takes on its full meaning with the proximity to the ocean, outdoor activities, calm, numerous accommodations... The "Portes du Royannais" open their arms wide to you ! 

The Royan-Médis Airfield is located 4 km to the east of Royan, on the right shore of the mouth of the Gironde estuary, in the immediate vicinity of the Atlantic Ocean.

The Royan-Médis Aerodrome has two runways, one 1255 meters long by 30 meters wide, the other 1000 meters long by 30 meters wide.

The aerodrome can accommodate twin-engine propellers and business jets. It is equipped with a lighting system and a Locator and a GNSS procedure for instrumentation, both day and night.

The only helicopter service provider based at Royan-Médis aerodrome, PBHelicopters offers you the opportunity to fly aboard a legendary helicopter, the Bell 47 G2. Aboard this 3-seater helicopter, enjoy a friendly private flight where 2 passengers are seated in front of the dashboard to the right of the pilot; no rear seats. What the pilot sees is seen by the 2 passengers through a superb panoramic bubble without structure. Installed on board by the pilot himself, you will have the privilege of witnessing the start of the machine alongside him. Treat yourself to this wonderful experience !
